These Ancient items will be substituted with something and are being fully removed from Diablo IV Items for sale.
What Blizzard is proposing is to substitute Ancient items with a sort of consumable item, which remains unnamed. This thing will only fall from monsters in the endgame and will have a single random legendary affix which can be implemented to any item that is non-legendary.
